Babies First is a community wide effort and we need your help. Join us to improve the health and well-being of mothers, babies and families. Here are some of the ways you can help:

Encourage women to see a doctor as soon as they think they are pregnant.

Help a pregnant woman or a new mom and her baby get to the doctor.

Encourage women not to use tobacco, alcohol or other drugs during or after pregnancy and to avoid secondhand smoke.

Encourage pregnant and parenting women to seek help for depression and/or other mental health issues.

Help mothers make the breastfeeding choice.

Help pregnant or new mothers call the Moms and Kids Hotline to access services to help them and their families: 1-800-640-0333.

    Breastfeeding Task Force (BFTF)

The goal of the Breastfeeding Task Force is to support and increase the number of women in Fresno County who breastfeed their babies, optimally through their infant's first year of life. The Task Force has coordinated an annual Breastfeeding Awareness Walk and Celebration since 2006. Visit the Task Force Page
